    Something I discovered during the process last night. I lost my active desktop and assumed it was due to the same ATI driver problem I had long before. It looks like your problem is related to this – when I clicked “Restore my active desktop” I got the following error message:

    I have performed a registry fix on the device using the following script to change registry settings:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER means & H80000001
    strComputer = “.”
    Install objReg = GetObject (“winmgmts: ” & & strComputer ” root default: StdRegProv”)
    strKeyPath = “Software Microsoft Internet Explorer Desktop SafeMode Components”
    strValue = “0”
    ValueName = “DeskHtmlVersion”
    objReg.SetDWORDValue HKEY_CURRENT_USER, strKeyPath, ValueName, strValue

  • I copied the above program into Notepad and saved it in “activedesktop.vbs” (no quotes). I ran the entire file and, before I could log out, my current active desktop was back to normal.

    I did some research and found that this is all a problem that is getting more and more popular in Internet Explorer 7. This scenario was discussed inMicrosoft’s web blog and several forums. I have not allowed MS-to options to invade IE7 computers (although I must admit I appreciate some of the improvements).

    Interestingly, I have been working well for about two hours now (I have an hour left at night and another hour in the morning). Whether it is related to all the ati2dvag.dll errors I never know. The one that caused Jolie to crash didn’t seem to be the chosen one, so I’ll probably figure it out soon (and then I’ll be writing down everything I do every 15 seconds!).

    I always want to get the latest driver for my screen from ATI, so I am in no way stopping to make sure it is loaded correctly.

    I’m sticking to the blue screen of death and sticking to the message:

    Then I need to restart. I have an ati9000 card with some current Dell drivers.

    A few days ago I received a blue section with the following message:

    It looks like the color = “# ff0000” task was called by the following file: ati2dvag

    Pilot approach color = “# ff0000″stranded in a powerful endless loop. This usually indicates a disease of the device, or even combined with improper garden programming by the device driver. Check with your hardware resource provider for driver updates.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I scoured the internet and came up with a few strategies and I prefer to trust someone here. Thanks.

    I have Windows XP Home Ed with an ATI Blackberry Bold 9700 Radeon Pro, and after logging in, I get a nice blue screen indicating that ati2dvag.dll error has occurred at this point. Mister. burn this to a reliable Linux bootable CD so I can’t get the Windows drivers.

    I tried using the Windows Recovery Installer, but luckily not. Is there a way to prepare for this?

    I have tried the Preboot System Assessment and Assessment (PSA) if there is a problem with the graphics card by pressing the F12 key on the Windows screen. LUsually I can also uninstall and reinstall the clip card drivers to fix the problem, but this is not necessary.

    The main problem is the ATI X Graphics 1300, which can be described as an infinite loop and blue screen.

    I have a d600 Lat from a Radeon 9000 card. Every time I boot, a blue screen pops up and says our own DLL file. See, others have the same problem with the same drivers. Has anyone here fixed the issue? I am using Windows 2003. It started with some f8 not recording to someone else’s monitor. It looks like it is causing problems with ATI drivers !!! be deeply grateful.

    I tried to run the Preboot System Assessment (PSA) diagnostics and see if there was a problem with the graphics card in this regard by pressing the F12 key to boot the system and display the Windows support screen. Also, I can uninstall and reinstall the graphics card drivers to fix the problem, but not use them.

    I have no idea what is going on and I am using a different IT gateway again because I cannot use my Dell. I always called Dell twice and did the restore but did not restructure. I was hooked yesterday

    This guy wants my gaze to meet him in line to download a driver, enjoy something, and then write it to a floppy disk so I can install it in-game on a Dell, but I don’t have to be sure that i have my own gotta send it backBut tell them to send me another computer that paid too much money to really hurt me because of it: smileymad:
