    Geometry is usually the core of the geometry management software component in the COMSOL Multiphysics® web interfaces. You may be wondering what resources we have or how and why clients will use them in their modeling. Let’s figure it out.

    Creating or importing geometry is probably the first step in the modeling process in COMSOL Multiphysics. Depending on the purpose of our modeling, the geometry can be a valid or idealized representation of the latter device.

  • A geometry sequence will not be recreated by the Comsol engine if it contains operations that are only available in the CAD engine. These operations include operations, which, in turn, are displayed in the “Delete and Repair” section of the “Geometry” toolbar; change in functionality (if the imported file is in a format supported by the CAD importer); as well as Loft, Midsurface, Thicken, Fasen and Congé operations in the design module.
