I am trying to download Norton AntiVirus
2005 and then install it. It seems to install fine, then a huge pop-up is displayed stating that the Windows Package Installer cannot work as expected and gives me human error code 1722. Symantec came back with an extremely slow response and I’m sure a loved one had same problem. I had to restore the best operating system using XP

Instmsia.exe will never be needed. The MIS runtime must be included in XP.
The error message indicates that a custom action using its configuration failed. The log file can tell you what action to take. But only Will Symantec knows what triggers the action, why it might fail, and exactly how to fix it. If you already have or have other antivirus software installed or installed on this computer or older Symantec products, make sure that they are all removed correctly. If you have installed or had other antivirus packages on your computer, perhaps previous Symantec products,
