When downloading data from your personal institution using Quicken for Mac, customers may receive the following message:

Attempt to download from this institution failed (2001 options provided for this API are not applicable (key = accountID)). Please try again later.

Reason

This issue may be because accounts are enabled for Quicken Connect in Quicken, but no longer exist on Quicken servers. This condition can occur if their accounts are disabled and everyone is restoring an open copy of the database or a backup of most of the files in which the accounts were still enabled. Quicken will try to connect to online accounts and otherwise display the above error.

To fix this error Oh, you need to deactivate and reactivate your accounts.

Affected Accounts Are Usually Disabled:

1. In the Quicken Accounts toolbar, click your account information.
2. Click the settings in the icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
3. Click the Downloads tab.
4. Click Disable Account.
5. Click Finish.
6. Repeat the above step for each account until it is deactivated.

Reactivating Online Accounts For Renewal:

1. Select Accounts> New> Account Type.
2. Enter the name of your credit company and click Next.
3. Enter the credentials you received to access the new account, then click Next.
4. Answer all security questions etc. that the person’s bank should register and click Next.
5. Once Quicken knows about your offering accounts, I can tell you that you will be able to link them to accounts that already exist in Quicken.
   
   • In the “Action” column, selectthose in the Accounts Found window select the previous account corresponding to the link.
   • Under Smile Type, select the correct account type to create each account from the drop-down menus.
6. Once you have linked all existing business accounts for this bank, click Next to complete the activation process based on your accounts, and then click Finish.
7. Repeat these steps for each bank that needs to be reactivated.
