File Replication Service Troubleshooting Tips – Error 13555

Symptoms

This difference can occur for a Windows Server-based domain operator under any of the following conditions:

If you change the configuration of system devices, the configuration of system bundles will fail.
A file replication service (FRS) database corruption has occurred.

Event 13555:
File Service Replication is in error

Event 13552:
File Service Replication cannot add this computer to the replica: “DOMAIN SYSTEM VOLUME (SYSVOL SHARE)”

These logs indicate that the SYSVOL file is not replicating between domain controllers. Consequently, this leads to inconsistency in Group Policy settings, and at each potentialThe wrong policy decision is detected on the computer.

Reason

This issue occurs because NTFS recognizes a firmware update as an on-disk configuration change and then changes each journal ID. Therefore, the file ID for the data on the FRS website does not match the file ID in the data in the Archipelago Update Log (USN) database.

Workaround

To resolve this issue, follow these steps in the domain controller that logs events:

Create a full or duplicate system state for each domain controller.
Stop the Fed. To do this, in the invitation to sell on each domain controller, enter the following type of command and press ENTER: net stop ntfrs

From the command line of the transition domain controller, run the following command to restart the FRS computer: net start ntfrs

Note

“xxxxxxx” is a placeholder for alphanumeric characters. Skip this step if there are no such folders and files.

Steps to remove folders and then files using the PsExec tool:

Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
Change the directory that usually contains the most important PsTools installation files (for example, run cd c: PsTools).

At the following command line, enter rd / s in Marketplace to remove the following files and the SYSVOL folder from the folders (for example, run rd% systemroot% sysvol domain Policies / s):

Force FRS synchronization on other Internet domain controllers. To do this, follow several of the following registration steps:

Open the editor Find the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet SERVICES NTFRS Parameters Backup / Restore Process by launching
Right-click the BurFlags entry, then just click Edit.
Enter D2 in these values and click OK.
Close the registry editor.

At the command line, follow these steps to restart FRS on other domain controllers: net start out ntfrs

Confirm replication.

Prices from “Error” or “Warning” log are no longer logged in the event log. If replication is successful, event ID 13516 will be logged.
Check for consistency when comparing files and folders, typically SYSVOL folders, between all site controllers.

Restart FRS on the referral controller by doing the following: Stop net ntfrs && net start out with ntfrs

When you’re done, check the FRS event log. Events with codes 13553, 13554 and 13516 fill up within a few minutes. These logs indicate that SYSVOL replication completed successfully.

Status

Microsoft has revealed that this is a problem with the Microsoft products detailed in the “Applies to” section.

In Windows Explorer, click Folder Options on the Tools menu.
Activate the Show hidden files and therefore folders option in the navigation bars.
