I am trying to set up Windows 7 from a bootable USB trailer. My other laptop reads as it should. However, when I try to start the broken laptop, it says:

Sometimes the USB stick error occurs when you have your own files in the root directory. For the files required to install Windows, try moving them all to a secure device / computer.

Sometimes the system file is a USB stick and / or operating system. USB drives will most likely be FAT 32 or FAT 12. In some cases, people build Windows XP intoFAT 32. I myself notice that Windows 7, as usual, is in the NTFS file system. In this context, it can be problematic.

Have you checked in the BIOS menu of your defective netbook to see if your USB stick is indexed in the boot / option sequence? Perhaps you configured it differently, or the BIOS on the laptop does not support booting from USB at all.
