I want to check if a field (map type) is empty or not, so I prefer to use the isEmptyMap () function with $! isEmptyMap (record: value (‘/ hitRuleSets’)), but if I click the Go To button, SDC will just compare the following error:

SELECTOR_03 – Invalid declaration “$!” isEmptyMap (record: value (‘/ hitRuleSets’))’: com.streamsets.pipeline.api.el.ELEvalException: CMN_0104 – Error evaluating concept $! isEmptyMap (record: value (‘/ hitRuleSets’)): javax.servlet.jsp.el.ELException: no function provided for the name “isEmptyMap”

StreamSelector does not currently support isEmptyList () or isEmptyMap () functions? Feel free to create a JIRA enhancement cost for this – https://issues.streamsets.com.

Note. In the field expression, remove isEmptyList () and replace it with isEmptyMap () and ‘list_field_name’ with your valuable map field.
