Windows 8 10 and Microsoft finally have a built-in way to make sure you are mounting ISO disk image files. If you are using Windows 7, you must have a third party tool to mount a great ISO disk image file. If for some reason the edit option is definitely missing from Windows 8.1 Pro Windows 10, you can enable it as well.

How do I mount a drive in Windows 8?
First, log into Windows 6 and click on the desktop thumbnail on the Start screen. Navigate to the folder with the ISO image you want to add and click on it. The disk image tools will appear above the “Account Management”. Click Mount.
On Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows, it has a built-in option to provide both ISO CD images and VHD symbol files.

Integrating An ISO Image Into A Windows XP, Vista Or Win 7 Image
On earlier versions of Windows, you may need a third-party registry to host the ISO image files. We love WinCDEmu, a simple open source hard drive mounting software. It supports ISO files as well as other player image formats.
To unmount the VCD, right-click the connected VCD and select Eject from the context menu.
WinCDEmu helps even on Windows 8 and 10 if you want to mount BIN / CUE, NRG, MDS / MDF, CCD and IMG images for which Windows does not yet offer native support.
After you have placed WinCDEmu, right-click the document with the disk image and select “Select standard disk and mount” from the context menu.
