Since I am a relatively new and important Ubuntu user, I ran into the same problem and seem to have fixed it. I found that there were three pending Ubuntu software updates with the same names usually displayed on the terminal as shown below:

I can’t find an expert, I think the Ubuntu software settings are meant to address eof that problem.
