The end of the “unexpected for a file” diagnostic indicates that you may have incompatible or incomplete syntax ( if without fi , do without done , open parentheses without normally expected closing, open but unfinished statements, etc.). The line number at the end of the script didn’t help in this case, but it means checking your syntax. The error can appear anywhere in your code. You must try.
