Sometimes, you might see the Xbox 360 e80 error message on your PC. There can be several reasons for this problem. g.”Xbox error three hundred and sixty E80″ is displayed when the chip on the motherboard is not working at all. An interrupted solder joint may be the cause of an incorrect mapping. A break in the solder joint can only be caused by overheating. To resolve this issue, send your Xbox console to a service center during the warranty period.

So I read a ton of Mean (I have a whole ton) of guides on how to fix this error.

My symptoms: After turning on the XBOX, the green 360 LED turns on, blinks three times and then turns red. However, the ring does not light up everywhere (all the guides I have seen / found describe one of the frequently illuminated quadrants of the ring, and mine does not. Only the indicator in the middle is on), it is shaded by the monitor, which displays a selection telling you that you screwed up and your personal error – E80. I tried to find a “secondary” code calculation error (as mentioned in some of the guides), but E80 was basically the only code error I encountered.

I kept trying to execute the sentence “then hold the setting, press the power button, andhold reset, ”but to my dismay it didn’t work.

Then I was already looking at the motherboard because several guides mentioned that the R6T3 resistor might be missing or burned out. I found resistor R6T3 (it looked good) saying that after carefully removing it without marks or scuffs, I would definitely quickly test it with my own multimeter and it just showed up due to a short circuit.

I thought excellent is a new problem. You have a new 10k ohm resistor tested for continuity, possibly soldered. I applied new energy paste to the radiator and glued vital functions back together.

Press the green button to turn on, the indicator will turn on normally, blink three times and then turn red. Error E80 is displayed on the screen.

I have solved a specific problem. I inadvertently deleted R1T6 instead of R3T6 and
Xbox won’t start at all. Nothing happens when I press the power button.
So, I re-soldered R1T6 and unsoldered R3T6 to avoid browning the Efuses.
Xbox upward download but correct when I did it via update it gave me 1
RROD E80 1100.
So I took apart the ps3 and replaced the R3T6 again.
Unfortunately, it was no longer there, I soldered exactly 10K
1/4 watt resistor driving two small awg30 wires. Your current Xbox will now restart and
this definitely completes the update 🙂

Wow … CR6T1 (next to R6T3) doesn’t fit properly – almost sideways and looks like
as a host … that’s probably why I made my mistake.

We should rearrange and see if the E80 pro 3 RROD sometimes goes away

(Microsoft needs to fire technicians and hire people who can weld properly.)

I got this error on an unmodified large Xbox. The box was handed over to Microsoft once
for RROD-Fix. This time I got the xclamp fix after fixing it.

I will disassemble it, and also check the resistor R3T6 and possibly rewire it, if there is one
it looks like it has a very cold joint.
