HP LaserJet 9000N
I get the following error intermittently on my HP Laserjet 9000N:
If this message is loaded, the printer will not print. Do I have to turn it off and on again for the following to work. The problem occurs more often. Installed without a network printer and runs on 7 workstations.
Does anyone know what is probably going on and how and how can the problem be solved? Many thanks!

He ukCalls which element installed in EIO 1 slot fails.
This is most likely the primary JetDirect card installed in the slot.
Turn off the printer and remove anything in the EIO slots (615 Jet direct card, hard drive, etc.). Turn the device back on and see if you see an error. If you do get an error, try Jetdirect and then try installing your hard drive (if you have one) in a different EIO slot, one at a time. You might have a bad EIO slot, or perhaps a bad EIO device.
If you get an error when there is almost nothing in the EIO slots, you may need to replace the formatter. You can also try reinstalling the memory and firmware dimmers on each formatter card. What have you got to lose now?
