Description | Unable to display event ID (39) description in source (cdm). The local computer may not have registry information or private message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. Monitoring information is part of the event: Device CdmRedirector |
Event Information | Based on information about posts from newsgroups, this event is most likely is the CDM – Diversion problem. The following steps can help you fix this problem. Track the type of software causing this issue (client Internet port, disk, LPT port, etc.) 1. Disable all client device mappings in the Citrix connection configuration for the ICA listener to which you are connecting. 2. Log in as a client with this device. 3. If you were able to connect and the events typically associated with CDM were not displayed, re-enable the client device type at the most appropriate time in the configuration.Citrix connections. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until a new device type is found. Then, at the command prompt, enter: This command creates a text file where you can see the mapping to LPT1 and LPT2. Troubleshooting Checkout: The port was recently assigned by the CDM redirector. This is a Citrix redirector for client machine applications. If instead you see a LanMan redirector for that particular CDM redirector, it means that the move is planned on the server to a different port on the computer network (using Microsoft networks). In the mapping for the client device: LPTx: yy LPTz: LPTx is the port name on the server side, / yy / is the session ID, and LPTz is the connector on the client site when LPTx points to it. Finally, if you still have problems, generally try this: |

There are only a few possible reasons why this error log appeared in this event viewer:
Internet client printer driver. The ICA client has checked and tested the correct printer drivers for the visitor upon login. Every time this process takes longer than the default timeout, you will see that an error has occurred.
While connecting
The Citrix server sends a message to the Citrix client to help you list client printers. At the thought you are showing, you might think that if or when you connect to clients, not just printers, only a regular printer appears in the list.
LIE! Each printer that is on the client or that can be specified inuser logon profile should be checked to see if the driver is normally installed for it. Thus, if there are 10 printers in the profile, all 10 printers are checked to determine if any known drivers are installed.
Now the best thing is, if the drivers are not working, the client will try to get the drivers from the receiving server.
While all of this is actually happening, the Citrix server is prepared for the client to send printer information frequently, so it has the ability to create printers automatically. If done safely, the client will likely take a long time to download the printer drivers. The timeout then causes CDM redirector errors to appear in the Experiment Viewer.
Once the vehicle owner printers are installed, you will no longer see our own CDM errors (so it looks like it happens one day). You are a user switching to another PC (this is … ™ not the owner of the user’s network printer cart).
This is a pretty bad function, becauseKnowing how Citrix thinks about the printing process, especially when a user refers to multiple printers in their summary and then switches to a completely new client that doesn’t exist. A custom printer driver has been installed.
Possible solutions:
(1) Install the appropriate drivers on the remote terminal computer
(2) Force the generic driver
