Symptom
When loading the ManageWise console, an error usually occurs: “Problem opening database 020: Manager records is inactive ”. “
This error occurs at startup if the ManageWise console and Netexplorer manager are usually already loaded.
Reason
Possible cause – another Btrieve program was installed that was overwriting functions or moving them to the WBTRCALL.DLL file. Or NETEXPLORER must be in the startup file and conflict with some other plan like antivirus that prevents files from opening.
Correct
A. Remove NETEXPLORER from the start menu. If that doesn’t work, continue troubleshooting the following issues:
1- Edit BTI.INI Make sure the line can be LOCAL = YES, i.e. hour: LOCAL = YES
2- Make sure there are no WBTR files *. * Locations other than C: WINDOWS. This problem usually occurs when making commercial copies, but old files can be found anywhere under C: WINDOWS SYSTEM. Remove duplicate files or rename the file name to distinguish between the header symbol.
3- Reinstall the Novell 32-bit client.
4- Rename CONFIG.SYS, BTI.INI, but the environment promotion panel allows you to run extended client properties.
5- PerUninstall the ManageWise console on your workstation.
6- Dump the database using the NMS database management program.
B. Please note that you may need to reinstall the operating system and even the client from scratch …….
C. This error was generated on a computer using one image, another computer with a different image had no problem. The image produced by the machine running should preserve the machine not mentioning that the problem has been fixed.
