    Hi guys …

I am trying to reinstall Kodi (17th of 6) from scratch and have installed a MySQL server which is additionally configured on the Raspberry Pi and runs Raspbian Stretch, also in Scratch. Installed

Then I installed Raspbian some kind of MySQL server according to the instructions here. Then I installed Kodi on a nice Windows 10 machine, fired it up to set up the userdata folder, then closed it and added the advancedsettings.xml file in the following text, where 192.168.1.200 could be the static IP of the strawberry pi. :

    If is true
I start Kodi again where it crashes and then restartIt works. I see the following error in kodi.log: “ERROR: Error: Failed to manage database: MyMusic60 [1049] (Unknown database ‘MyMusic60’)”. On the MySQL server, start Browse Databases; »Displays the following databases:

    MariaDB Show [(no)]> Databases;

I checked your magazine because we do not allow the posting of forum magazines. Make sure

Turn on debugging under Settings> System Preferences> Logging, restart Kodi and reproduce the issue.

    1. Find this pastebin website. Always two examples https://pastebin.com/ or https://paste.ubuntu.com/
    2. Insert content using the kodi.log file
    3. Click Insert or Create New or Create Insert
    4. When your copy appears on the projector screen, paste the entire address into the address weighting factor and paste it into a new message in your thread

I am not a specific expert On MySQL / MariaDB, but would tell him it’s easy to remove the MyMusic60 schema and then reconnect Kodi with debugging enabled so he can try starting the database. Depending on how you do it, publish the journal as described above.

I had the same problem that another male contributor originally wrote in this post. If you are using advancedsettings.xml in my Kodi user data folder it will take a long time to load. Since I couldn’t find a solution, I figured you should erase your existing video storage (using the Mariadb reset feature on my NAS) to start over and see what happens.

So I ran Kodi debug mode hoping the device would create a new database.

    Can’t open database: MyVideos107 [1049]
Unable to create database: MyVideos106 [1049]

    Cannot open database: MyVideos75 [1049]

After losing this (very long) process, Kodi was finally able to boot into Phpmyadmin. I saw that a new base was createdMyVideos107 data (empty but searchable). Since then, these log error messages have been deprecated.

But the launch codes and navigation are still very slow only if you are using advancedsettings.xml. Kodi freezes for 5-10 seconds every time I go to 1 from the screen. If I delete the XML document, Kodi works fine.

I have the same regardless of build (Windows PC, Android devices).

You seem to be adding a database server too aggressively with insufficient privileges for the indexing user “kodi”.

By the way, you don’t need to use the tag in all the video database settings in the advancedsettings.xml file.
Kodi uses the standard MyVideos prefix for this and adds its number.

I updated my post during the magazine as it turned out that Kodi could finally be up and running a long time ago. Always very slow after starting. If I delete the file before Additional settings, it will work fine.

In the latter case, Kodi will of course only run the most important local database files.

If you run MariaDB as a standalone SQL database server on a Raspberry Pi, you will never win your speed competition. Most SD cards will certainly have good read speeds, but unnecessary write speeds. I tried Raspberry Pi and 3b + Raspbian running from an external SSD over USB. The gigabit port helps fabulously too. But it can never compare to a “regular” PC that needs an SSD with the right SATA bandwidth and the right Gigabit connection.

The absence of an error between these two lines means that almost all the SQL statements defined for the transaction should have been processed correctly and that you should now have a MyVideos107 database.

I use several Kodi clients: Notebook Computer, Galaxy Tab, TV, Shield over Gigabit Ethernet only, they all usually have the same problem. I have no idea what has happened since then, but I can be sure that something is wrong.

Just for the record: is there a suitable MyVideos107 database searchable on a specific SQL server?
Upload the new file type kodi.log.

Maybe there is constant wear and tear on the RPi database SD card that slows down the promotion of the item.
Try another SD card and install Raspbian + MySQL / MariaDB on it.
You can also try to check the overall network speed according to your RPi3 database device. Why is that bad?

I don’t use Raspberry, it’s just that Windows computers and Android PCs run into the same problem when using the Advancedsettings file – it takes a long time to launch Kodi and access it. Cody freezes. Debug mode indicators MEM and CPU in the upper left corner prevent updating for 5 seconds. On line 600 of my journal, you and your family can see what happens when I move from one screen to another (the file area of the player’s library). I noticed this message (not sure if it is related to the problem):

Quote: ERROR: XFILE :: CDirectory :: GetDirectory – Error while getting

Since my current problem no longer matches the original situation (error 1049 no longer appears), I suggest posting this issue on a different thread. Thanks for the comments received.
