Step 1

Unplug the power cord from the treadmill. Use the hex wrench to remove the screws that secure the motor cover to the front of the treadmill. Depending on the model, you may need to remove the hub caps on both sides of the treadmill to access these screws. Remove the car cover and set it aside.

Step 3

Position the engine so that it can often access the speed sensor under the engine. Check the stability of the sensor in the bracket, which in turn holds it to the engine. If the sensor is unstable, use a screwdriver to tighten the nails and secure the bracket.

Step 4

As a general rule, route the sensor cable as a path to the PCB below. Remove the appropriate connector from the PCB. Use a voltmeter to check the speedometer wire for continuity. If the speedometer is on continuously, the speed sensor must be replaced.

Step 5

Install the current speed sensor in the segment under the car and tighten the screws. Connect the dedicated cable to the printed circuit boards. Slide the drive belt over the pulley attached to the motor, reattach the motor to the mounting bracket, and tighten most of the screws holding it in place.

STEP 6
