Over the past few days, some of our readers have reported that they have encountered Maven Nexus with an erroneous checksum.

In Maven, use Maven to try and get the latest metadata from the repository. If it’s corrupted, Maven will issue an important warning, saying the compilation was successful, but not downloading my artifact. This was caused by corruption in my repository, and I might want to avoid it in the future, or check it more clearly with an extension error.
Can I change the pom extension for this warning to be an error so I can see it quickly?

What do I rename my repository to in Nexus Maven?
However, if I change the settings.xml file to use the entire Nexus mirror (as per a few line instructions, z are definitely problems) and then run a simple perfect Maven like cleanup or install, I get all the weird situations.
Hello,
I’m glad there was a checksum error while trying to upload the SNAPSHOT bottle file to oss.sonatype.org. Pom and original glass are fine.
See verified screenshot for example for project / JAR archive. Below the error message:
Do you need checksums for all files in Maven?
You need checksums for all files. In fact, this guide on javaworld.com is completely or at least partially incorrect. Use the -DcreateChecksum = true parameter on the mvn install: install-file command line. Rename maven-metadata-local files that can be created to remove the part.

Hi guys
I am using maven-deploy-plugin: deploy-file to extend an artifact in my Nexus
repository.
The inclusion process is working fine, but the metadata is not restored.
When I download a certain artifact, I get a checksum error.
Updating metadata via Nexus solves the problem. (Of course, I don’t want to do this every time π
This is a known issue with Maven 2.2.0.
Why do I get a Maven checksum error?
Anyway, here’s the error I’m throwing out: if I delete the ~ / .coursier directory and try again after that, it usually works. Or at least one other artifact (s) should not occur. I can also just remove this Express artifact and it will work. What is happening is that the maven-metadata.xml.sha1 file contains an invalid hash.
Posted by Victor Calvello – Hi guys! I have maven-deploy-plugin: a deployment file to deploy an artifact to my Nexus
repository.
The publishing process works fine, but the metadata is not restored.
So when I get the main download artifact, I get the Checksum Failed error.
Regenerating metadata via Nexus should really be a challenge. (Of course I try to do this every time π
Any ideas ??
By the way, I’m still using Maven 2.2.0, the latest version of the deployment plugin.
Thanks,
Vic
