You should read these repair tips every time you get the fearless Virtualbox kernel module error code.

I offer a lot of copied lines from the Ubuntu forums and attach the reading. I just got lost in solving all these problems and understand what I am probably to blame for.
xVM VirtualBox
I made a mistake while upgrading to 8.10 and can no longer use XP
VirtualBox. When I run Applications> System Tools> Sun xVM VirtualBox> Start,
tells My VirtualBox that the home kernel driver is not installed. Is there a way to solve this problem?
Re: xVM VirtualBox
Upgrading to 8.10 was not a problem, my friend. This is a simple and serious incompatibility problem that can be easily resolved on your own. There are two options:
First of all, I would definitely like to check and (re) install the latest version of Virtualbox, version 2.0.4, as it has been greatly improved for using
with Intrepid. During a (fresh) installation, the program removes all old
kernel modules and automatically compiles a new one for you.
Second, if you don’t want to install the latest version, or don’t necessarily want to install it, you can simply open a terminal application and enter the following code:
:
Recompiling modIt may take a few minutes for the kernel, depending on the specifications of your system, so be patient. Once that’s done, you really have a fully functional VirtualBox
… Wooowhoooo! Good luck

I will search for the Sun, and if in See I will find the latest version for Intrepid.

and got this:

I think I liked loading Intrepid and how to save the used kernel. I also don’t know how to actually start, since I’m a beginner.

Re: xVM Virtualbox
run the following command from our own terminal to find out which language core you are actually using
code:
I don’t know how that might be, but the feature is the highlight. I found that the manager is open
synaptio, and I found the current one in the list The same kernel, and clicked the next one to reinstall
, but no changes.
Re: xVM VirtualBox
From the beginning I saw Ubuntu 8.04 and the general kernel …. 19 and starting with Synaptic the manager lists each of our headers for 2.6.27-7 that are possible
just to change my grub menu or maybe fix the problem?

Re: xVM VirtualBox
I don’t think this is the right way. Use Synaptic to (re) install the two best
packages:
linux-headers-generic
linux-image-generic

… With Synaptic I would do both reinstallation and reloading of products
before trying to install all the latest xVM VBox, I still get the same
message, and also on the terminal, uname -r always returns the wrong kernel.

Uh. gdebi has always been unreliable for me, but this person should have mentioned
_which_ VirtualBox you were trying to install
Message from Bill Taylor
I feel like I loaded Intrepid and kept the old kernel.
Reboot with the new kernel. It’s right in Grub. … ! The installation does not remove the
kernel, but the old one in case for some reason you cannot start the new one.
Post from Bill Taylor
… using Synaptic, I reinstalled both packages and tried to restart
before installing the best xVM VBox version, but I still have the
same post but only at the level terminal, uname -r very
returns the wrong kernel.
Grub has a menu behind the available kernels, and for someone to bootI’m up to version 2.6.24, you have to ask them to do this. Publish your
/boot/grub/menu.lst.
Thanks Derek, this is my food menu.lst.

You need to update your kernel to the 2.6.27.x version you are looking for. In
Synaptic looks like Linux-Image-2.6.27 and related files. Then update
vBox to version 2.0.4.
Find the GRUB installation directory … found: / boot / grub
Find the standard file … found: / boot / grub / default
Check using the Existing GRUB menu. .. found: /boot/grub/menu.lst
find boot images … not found, ignore …
found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic
Found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.24-19-generic
Found kernel: /boot/memtest86+.bin
Updating /boot/grub/menu.lst … completed
