Sharp Scan To Email Selected Servers Not Found

Over the past few weeks, some of our readers have encountered a known error where an accurate scan of the selected mail servers was not found. This problem can arise for several reasons. We’ll cover them below.

I have four MX-3501Ns, the best I’ve worked with last week. Two of them are in different locations with the client’s business, and the other two are in my network. I just took control of the market last month and got the right service call through a client MFP that doesn’t scan and throws a weird error. When I actually tried to scan a network folder, email or desktop, sent me this warning message: “Selected servers not found, please contact your network administrator.” I worked with such a machine for two hours without copies. Here’s what I hacked on all rotating devices: turn off firewall, reload firmware, reset current network card, check SMTP cable connections (connection was successful), resolve appropriate DNS to IP. I am not worried about both of them on my network as we scan the desktop and perform better (this error message only appears every time I try to scan emails and even network folders on my network). The problem has been resolved. For future professionals with concurrent problems.

I have a copier today. When I started tweaking the SMTP parameters for our client, I made sure that my main server’s settings were definitely correct and that the DNS settings could match those in the command line> IPCONFIG. When I click the Run button, my family receives a Successful SMTP Server Test. Before Even when I go to get the copier, I always check by sending email notifications, writing my email and hitting “Submit” to make sure I get the email and get it done. Later, much to my dismay, I go to class when I send an email to a user who told me “chooseNo servers found. ”

How do you send a scan to sharpdesk?

For Sharp (most models), specify Job Status (physical button)> Scan, Scan To, or Email / FTP (touchscreen button)> Done (touchscreen button). It will be either “Send OK” or “NG8000”. If you see NG (which means Not Good), follow our instructions in the PDF attachment to the Sharpdesk Troubleshooting Guide (at the bottom of this page).

Experience has shown that this message goes through 4 things.

Firewall through a router.
Copier port settings.
Incorrect main SMTP server settings.
Incorrect DNS settings.

He quickly dismissed the top three. Leave the DNS to me, thank goodness Google, whose DNS is now … public.

DNS changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Google.com for the domain and worked like this charm.

The selected servers were not found. Contact your network system administrator.

I echoed the printer to the archive server and vice versa, and I succeeded.
I tried to scan to the message address and it was successful. Disabled
I have a basic firewall and I tried it but it doesn’t scan.
I uninstalled the installation due to recent updates, but it still doesn’t work.
Group Policy for Server Workstations will not change!

Why is my Sharp copier not working with SMTP?

Why does Sharp copier not scan to same network folders?

Scan to email still works from them, but not from the network on our file server. Elsewhere, they will have no trouble scanning the same network folders while our file server is running. The error message caused by faulty devices is undoubtedly: “The selected servers could not be found.

SMB has been updated to version 1. A firmware update for your Sharp MFP may be available to resolve the issue (depending on model).
